Every day from 8.30 a.m. - midnight
Permanetly closed as of October 30th, 2019.
The Getreidegasse offers two options: to see or be seen. A third possibility that combines both is managing to get a place in the Carpe Diem’s café and teahouse or – between March and late October – on its noble terrace, where guests can make themselves cozy on comfortable designer furniture. If required, a canopy with a heating-system protects guests from unfriendly weather.
Its stylish interior as well as the patisserie’s creations, finest finger food, a wide choice of exquisite tea fusions, Afro Coffee specialties and selected beverages invite guests to indulge in a first-rate brunch, take a break from shopping or relax and take a timeout from a stressful day in the office. Or simply - to be.
Often bars are opened only in the evening. Here it is different. The bar on ground floor with a view of the Getreidegasse is a popular and lively meeting place already for breakfast and lunch for locals as well as tourists – certainly because of the outstanding brunch, the selected coffee-, tea-, and other drinks-specialties and because of the exquisite fingerfood, which is served form late morning to midnight.
The bars’ extraordinarily wide range of more than 70 cocktails and long drinks classics, exquisite wines, champagnes and premium spirits, however, are best left to the late afternoon and evening.
Noble leather, fine textiles and pleasantly dimmed light invite to relax and enjoy in private atmosphere in one of our two Carpe Diem Lounges on first floor.
The two lounges - all in dark red and brown – can be booked separate or together. They offer space for an informal business get-together, for smaller private celebrations, a decent aperitif or digestive for up to 20 guests per lounge or just to enjoy. Besides all our drinks, we here of course serve the legendary cones and exquisite fingerfood creations
